Prevent spam messages to subscribers of mailing list [closed]

Prevent spam messages to subscribers of mailing list [closed] I recently joined a mailing list and have noticed that I get several spam messages on this list per day, whereas on my gmail account I never receive spam messages because gmail filters those messages out. Is there a way to filter this spam out at the mailing list level (I assume that if I mark the message as spam it will then start recognizing everything that comes from that mailing list as spam, which is not what I want)? Other people on the list have also reported this problem, so I'm not the only one seeing the spam messages. I am not the owner of this list, but the group is small and I would be able to help the owner implement a solution.
